Hodder & Stoughton publishes a wide range of fiction and non-fiction titles and is renowned for passion, creativity, quality and creating bestsellers across all formats. Part of Hachette UK, we publish everything from fantasy to autobiography to literary fiction to cookery and our authors include Stephen King, Abi Daré, Lucy Worsley, Becky Chambers, Tom Allen and Liam Charles.
What you’ll be doing
We have an opening for a Production Controller to oversee the origination and manufacture of new titles from copy-edited manuscript to delivery of finished copies. You will have the opportunity to work with both text and cover designers, typesetters, repro houses and printers as well as the various internal departments, notably editorial, art, sales, marketing and publicity.
Who we’re looking for
Our ideal candidate will have some experience in a Production role or in a printing environment. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to manage your time effectively, to prioritise and work well to tight deadlines. An enthusiastic and proactive team player who is also able to work independently and has good administrative and IT skills (Windows and Excel), you will also be organised and efficient with a meticulous eye for detail.
